Urgent Action Network

The Urgent Action Network has hundreds of thousands of activists across the world ready to take Urgent Action.

The Urgent Action Network works by inundating the authorities responsible with letters and emails demanding a halt to the human rights violations and to protect individuals at risk from human rights violations.

They mobilise quickly to stop serious human rights abuses from happening.

The Urgent Action Network responds to urgent human rights situations. It acts when people are at risk from torture and the death penalty, imprisoned for peacefully exercising their rights to freedom of expression and assembly, or for their social, political, or religious beliefs.

We also take action to stop discrimination, protect sexual and reproductive rights and to respond to other emergency human rights violations.

Taking urgent action is easy, sign an email action sent directly t to the responsible authority or write your own email or send your own letter.
