On 31 May, six relatives of the Indigenous Miskitu Leader Brooklyn Rivera had disappeared in Managua after travelling to claim his remains following the government’s confirmation of his death. By June, relatives of the disappeared referred all efforts to find them had been unsuccessful and had not received any official information regarding their fate, whereabouts, or legal status. We call on the Nicaraguan authorities to immediately disclose their whereabouts and ensure their immediate release.
