Post-Primary Workshops

Amnesty International Ireland Post-Primary workshops.

Amnesty International Ireland provide trained staff and volunteers to deliver free workshops across Ireland. All of our school speakers are Garda vetted. Our workshops focus on the work of Amnesty international, an introduction to human rights and our current campaigns, participatory human rights education activities, and ways for young people to take action for human rights.

The safety of school speakers, students and staff is our top priority, so we are not looking at doing in-person school workshops for the time being due to COVID-19. We have decided to move our workshops online this year, working with each individual school to ensure that we choose the best platform in a way that works best for each school.

What we request:

  • A single or a double-class period
  • Up to 30 students and one teacher present
  • A computer that can be used for video-conferencing

Please note that we try to facilitate requests but due to capacity we may need to put schools on a waiting list.
