Due to the rapidly developing and highly sensitive situation in Gaza, we have decided to start a new activism project to stand up for the rights of those suffering in the ongoing conflict. The situation is dire and we need to take action now.
We are looking for activists to be part of our new Task Force on Israel and the Occupied Palestinian Territories. You will be connected, informed, trained, and empowered to act and mobilise others to demand a ceasefire and call for justice for Palestinians who are suffering.
Interested? Sign up to join us now.
As part of the Task Force, you will work with us to raise awareness and demand action for those suffering in Gaza and gain vital skills in how to effectively demand change.
As part of the Task Force, you will be asked to:
- Be motivated and committed to Human Rights;
- Be creative and think outside the box;
- Participate in regular Task Force meetings. Frequency and venue of meetings (online or offline) will be agreed upon by participants and based on need. Please note, however, that the first meeting will take place online.
- Participate in at least three actions organised by the Task Force;
- Commit to an average of at least three hours per week
If you join the Task Force, we will need you to be able to attend, as a minimum, the first training meeting and every meeting where we divide out our tasks. The dates and times of these will be flagged well in advance. We need people who can participate regularly, as we expect to take meaningful actions over the coming weeks and months!
What you can except from us:
- Training
- Empowerment
- Ongoing learning and development support
- Organisation and communication skills
- Activism skills
You have until 26 February to sign up!
