Volunteer with us

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Amnesty International Ireland.

Amnesty International is a democratic worldwide movement of people who campaign for human rights to be respected and protected for everyone. We believe human rights abuses anywhere are the concern of people everywhere. So, outraged by human rights abuses but inspired by hope for a better world, we work to improve people’s lives through campaigning and international solidarity.

When you volunteer with Amnesty International, you’re working for people whose human rights are under attack. If you are talented, passionate about human rights and want to use your skills and experience to change the world, then we might just have the right role for you. Volunteers work in a range of roles, including working at festivals, supporting the youth activism programme, and administrative tasks, including data entry.

Internships

From time to time, office based internships are available. Our internship programme offers work experience to those interested in a career in human rights. Internships are unpaid, although Amnesty offers a small stipend to cover travel and lunch costs. The hours are flexible, but we require interns to work 20 hours per week for a period of 3-6 months.

Our latest internships opportunities are available here.
