activist groups

Across Ireland, volunteer activists meet regularly in their communities, universities or schools to write letters and organise actions and events on behalf of victims of human rights violations.

Some groups focus on specific countries/regions, such as Colombia, Iran, Israel and the Occupied Palestinian Territories, Mexico or Zimbabwe. Some focus on specific issues, such as LGBT rights. And others focus on a variety of campaigns.

Hundreds more join a network and receive regular email updates on abolishing the death penalty, mental health in Ireland or on individuals around the world who need urgent action taken on their behalf.
