Darfuri Refugee Resettled In Norway

Sudanese refugee from Darfur Abdel Moneim Adam Suleiman has now been resettled in Norway. He is no longer believed to be in danger of forcible return to Sudan.

Abdel Moneim Adam Suleiman was the director of the Sudan Centre for Contemporary Studies and Development, which documents abuses against refugees, asylum-seekers and migrants in Egypt.

He had been arrested in Egypt in early May 2012. and detained without charge.

He has been resettled Norway, together with his family, after intervention by the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees in Egypt.

Amnesty International spoke to Abdel Moneim Adam Suleiman, who said he was grateful for the organization's action and thanked its members for their help and support.
