BLOG: Dil Wickremasinghe on healthcare in Ireland

Everyone in Ireland has a right to heath.  So says the International Covenant of Social,Cultural and Economic Rights that Ireland signed in 1989. It is the government’s responsibility to protect that right. 

Amnesty International (AI) has launched the Healthcare Guaranteed campaign.  AI is asking the government for equal access to healthcare for everyone in Ireland, no matter who you are or what you can afford.

But what does health and healthcare mean to you? We asked Dil Wickremasinghe, broadcaster, social entrepreneur and stand up comedian, for her thoughts.
